Spinning Bike
The Spinning Bike is an indoor exercise bike which is different from the usual exercise bike. Spin bikes have a heavy weighted flywheel which is connected to the pedal. The bike is like a fixed gear bike, if you stop pushing on the pedals the pedals keep spinning. This will give you a high pedalling cadence, and a different feel than riding a conventional exercise bike. The position of which you sit on a spin bike is more like a road bike.
You are able to adjust the bike in more areas than a conventional exercise bike. The handle bars of a Spinning Bike are able to be move up and down. The seat is also able to be move up and down as well as forward and backwards. The pedals of a spin bike usually have cages of which you strap your feet into or also have pedal you can clip special bike shoes into. This enable you to use a more pulling up and push down and forward on the pedals which uses a different group of muscles than just push on an uncaged pedal. Because the spinning bike is much sturdier than a Fitness Bike you are able to stand on the pedals to stimulate hill climbs and position yourself as you would on a road bike.
If your aim is to lose weight, there is not better exercise than spinning; a forty minute spinning class can burn an average of 500 kcals. This can be achieved at home by putting on some music and being motivated by the beat of the music. Combine this with a Low Fat Diet and you are on the road to success.
